In its short life, Viaduct Events Centre has seen many major events such as Fashion Week, the Boat Show and the Art Fair, successfully entertaining thousands of people every day. This five star centre built on the Halsey Street extension wharf at the Wynyard Quarter, has also been the venue for large industry conferences, exhibitions and high profile corporate functions.
Temporary Event Fencing with 90% Beige Shade Cloth – inconspicuous privacy
For their event, our client wanted the installation of 90% block out beige shade cloth to the temporary event fencing. The shade cloth hid ugly amenities, created a private intimate event and used as screening from the public and other functions held at the centre. The beige shade cloth gave the event a neutral backdrop that blended well with the theme of the night, their lighting and decorations.
With the addition of the thick block out cloth, this increased the wind load and the need for substantial bracing. GHL installed temporary fencing braces to every second panel – an additional 96 kilograms of weight on each panel to ensure its stability for an outdoor event.
As this is a very busy events centre with eight separate function rooms, GHL extensive in-house resources enabled the tight pack in and pack out time limit to be met, saving our client time and money from their budget.
