Sylvia Park Shopping Centre revamp – temp fence allows shopping to continue
In 2005, when the large Sylvia Park Shopping Centre was being built, GHL Temp Fence supplied all the temporary fencing. Now, here we are 10 years later, back on site providing the temporary fencing for their renovations and extensions.
The project is a little different from last time – the shopping centre is open to shoppers as usual during the whole construction phase. Careful consideration of the road traffic (over 176,000 cars drive past every day) and foot traffic (there are over 200 retailers in the centre) needs to be taken into consideration whilst the renovations continue. - The health and safety processes of the main contractor; the temporary fencing being a critical element to obtaining these standards.
- Define the limits of the work site, not just for the contractors and workers on site but also to the passing traffic. The fence also isolated the various hazards within the worksite.
