BP Service Station - Dairy Flat

A complete refit has started on the busy Dairy Flat BP station on Auckland’s northern motorway. With construction on the existing building and new pumps planned, the service station will be under construction for 6+ months. As with any construction site, the aim is to minimise disruptions to the general public and surrounding businesses. Although the service station will be closed for a portion of the project, careful planning and the use of temporary fencing will ensure closures are kept to an absolute minimum.

Working closely with its client, GHL TempFence have supplied close to 600m of Substantially Braced Temporary Fencing to fully enclose the construction site. With over 15 years experience GHL have developed Safety Fencing solutions designed to create a safe and secure working area.

In this case the customer planned to install Scrim / Shade Cloth on the Site Fencing for added privacy and to help with dust control. With Shade Cloth being installed the use of Substantial Bracing was essential to ensure the strength & stability of the fence line. Shade Cloth / Scrim places far greater wind loads on the fencing meaning without adequate Bracing the Temp Fencing wouldn’t stand a chance in windy conditions.

Substantially Braced Temporary Fencing includes:

  • Bracing installed every second panel
  • 96ks of weight placed on each brace for added weight
  • Every second panel clamped at the bottom of the base to ensure panels lock into place

With each site having its own unique requirements, GHL TempFence have several Site Fencing solutions on offer to suit your next project. With options available for both Fence Hire & Sales call us now on 0800TempFence or visit www.GHLTempFence.co.nz
