Meet the After-Hours Emergency temp fence team at GHL

When an emergency occurs like a fire in a school building, contractors need to be responsive and proactive.The call came to GHL Temp Fence on a Sunday, requiring a temporary fence to secure an Auckland school building that had been badly burnt and damaged in a fire.

After the fire was put out, the structures needed to be checked by fire and building inspectors before it could be considered safe to enter.

Within 2 hours of receiving the Sunday afternoon telephone call, GHL had despatched an emergency team of two men and one truck loaded with over 80 metres of temporary fencing.

The temp fence was erected onsite as quickly and efficiently as humanly possible. Concrete filled feet were placed on each fence panel and strategically placed bracing was added to ensure the fences’ stability.

The burnt school building perimeter was secured from curious children in a couple of hours, well in time for the students return to school on Monday, ready for classes.
