Safe Crowd Control Barriers at the All Blacks Rugby World Cup 2015 Victory Parade!

What does it take to put on an All Blacks victory parade after their hat-trick 2015 Rugby World Cup win? In just 24 hours, GHL Temp Fence erected 1 kilometre of crowd control barriers and 450m of fully braced 1.8m temporary fencing with black (of course!) shade cloth.

The urgency started on Monday morning with emails to GHL – can we pull it off? Easy! By Tuesday, GHL were the chosen supplier for the temporary fencing at Victoria Park.

Here’s how we did it....

A can-do temp fence team

Running on adrenaline from the All Blacks win, our can-do team worked feverishly to erect 1500m of fencing around the perimeter of Victoria Park within 24 hours. Starting Tuesday afternoon, we were ready by 10am Wednesday for the celebrations to begin. Overall, it took us just 24 hours to complete the pack-in and pack-out of the Event Temporary Fence – no easy feat.

Pre-approved contractor with the Auckland City Council

As a pre-approved contractor with Auckland City Council, and hundreds of events in temporary fencing under our belts for the Organisers, it was an easy choice. To be a pre-approved contractor, high standards of professionalism, health and safety must be met, an initiative that GHL follows for every project we work on.

Quality of temp fencing that meets safety and health standards

All of our Event Temporary Fencing is made, of the strongest and most appropriate material to keep its strength and durability, job after job. Every fence panel is inspected regularly to ensure it is holding up to its job.

Strong All Blacks team, strong GHL team – so proud to be a New Zealander!
